Uninterruptible Power Supply

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is a system device that connects batteries (often maintenance-free lead-acid batteries) to the main unit. It uses modules such as the main unit inverter to convert direct current into alternating current. This device is mainly used to provide stable and uninterrupted power supply to a single computer, computer network system, or other power electronic equipment such as solenoids, pressure transmitters, etc.

When the mains power is normal, the UPS stabilizes the mains power and supplies it to the load. At this point, the UPS acts as an AC mains voltage stabilizer while simultaneously charging the internal battery. In the event of a mains power failure (such as an outage), the UPS immediately switches to supplying the load with 220V AC power using the stored DC power from the battery through an inverter with zero switchover, ensuring that the load continues to operate normally and protecting both the hardware and software from damage. UPS devices typically provide protection against both high and low voltage conditions.
