New Energy Electric Vehicles

New energy electric vehicles are composed of the electric power drive and control system, mechanical systems like the drive force transmission, and work devices that accomplish specified tasks. The electric power drive and control system are the core of electric vehicles, representing the most significant difference from internal combustion engine vehicles. The electric power drive and control system consist of a drive motor, power supply, and the speed control device of the electric motor. Other devices in electric vehicles are generally similar to those in internal combustion engine vehicles. The drive motor of electric vehicles is powered by providing electrical energy, where the electric motor converts the electrical energy from the power source into mechanical energy.

Currently, the most widely used power source is lead-acid batteries. However, with the development of electric vehicle technology, lead-acid batteries are gradually being replaced by other types of batteries due to their low energy density, slow charging speed, and short lifespan. Developing power sources include sodium-sulfur batteries, nickel-cadmium batteries, lithium batteries, fuel cells, etc. The application of these new power sources opens up broad prospects for the development of electric vehicles.
