A Local Area Network (LAN) is a computer communication network formed within a local geographic area, typically within a few kilometers, such as within a school, factory, or office. It interconnects various computers, external devices, and databases. It can be connected to remote LANs, databases, or processing centers through data communication networks or dedicated data circuits, forming a larger-scale information processing system.
LANs enable functionalities such as file management, shared application software, shared printers, shared scanners, scheduling within workgroups, email, and fax communication services.
In a strict sense, a LAN is a closed system. It can consist of a few to thousands or even tens of thousands of computers within an office. The main technical elements determining a LAN are network topology, transmission media, and access control methods. The hardware part of a LAN is commonly referred to as server single boards.
Highlight provides the following product types for server single boards: Power Inductors, High-Current Inductors, Integrated Inductors.
